U.S. Single Parent looking to teach English abroad?

I'm a single parent of a 5-year old. I have been teaching stateside for the past few years and am considering teaching abroad. I'm trying to get a sense of the experience from anyone else who may be a single parent teaching abroad. I have been raising my daughter alone for most of her life so I'm fairly resourceful and very independent. I was thinking more in terms of logistics. What kind of benefits were schools offering? How easy or difficult did you find the transition to be?
