Having lunch with a friend....?

After class, a friend of mine (girl) and I are going to have lunch at a casual restaurant. I just don't know if we should both ride in one's car, or take separate cars. I know I'm probably over-thinking this, but I just want to get the logistics worked out to avoid possible awkwardness.
