Are white collar crooks ever barred from their line of work?

It's up to the individual company hiring the person. Some places don't even bother doing criminal background checks on their new hires. It isn't actually against the law to return to the job market working with money again, after stealing but it's a lot harder to find work in that field. Sounds like the neighbor found a company with a really lazy and/or stupid human resources department head.
