Marine Option or Army ROTC?

Okay so i was given a 4 year army rotc scholarship and i wasn't given anything from the marine corps. I really want to be a marine officer but unfortunately i cant afford to pay for college without rotc(but that's not the only reason im doing it ive always wanted to be an officer in the armed forces). I was told that i could apply for a 3 year marine scholarship, but ive heard those are extremely hard to come by and you must be one hell of an applicant to get one. I guess my main dilemma is which one do you think i should choose. Also please only answer if you have real experience. I don't want some ignorant civilian who knows nothing but what they've seen in movies. Sorry if that comes off as "rude" but i need legit coherent answers.
