Hirebox/Talx safe???

Ok i'm applying for a job with ACS. In the application process, it is required that all applicants take a tax credit survey. In this survey they ask for my ss # and my drivers license. For me to complete the application process, I have to complete the survey. I havent put anything down yet. Just wondering if this is this just a complete scam? or is it safe?
